Field trip - Burnham on Sea/Berrow proposed new date

Postby peterr » Thu Mar 07, 2019 2:07 pm

The 15th or 16th March aren't proving to be very popular dates for my proposed trip to Burnham on Sea / Berrow sands. Please indicate below if you would be interested in a trip on Saturday 23rd March. The plan would be the same (concentrating on areas round Burnham on Sea low lighthouse and the shipwreck on Berrow sands).

Thanks

Sorry Peter, I'm singing in a concert at the Cathedral on 23rd - 22nd would have been OK but you appear to have some 'takers' already for the 23rd.
Enjoy the trip.

Weather not looking too good for rest of this week, so definitely now looking at Saturday 23rd March. Low tide is circa 2:30 p.m. which should suit for photographing the lighthouse on the sands. Will be looking to leave from Malvern early (8a.m.) and return early evening. More details later.

[Yes, we will be looking at car sharing Bill, so a lift should not be a problem.]

It looks like we will be at least five in number, so do intend to go ahead.

a) For those making their own way: Meet up at Burnham pier entrance at 11a.m.

b) I will be in touch with those leaving from Malvern who are happy to car share.

[Any last minute decision makers are more than welcome to join us via option (a)]

I am coming, sorry about the late reply but needed to check terrain after having damaged my knee last week. I would prefer to car share but failing a spare space I will make my own way there. Thanks for organising this,

I'm pleased you enjoyed it Bill, and I particularly like your shot of the remains of the SS Nornen. Now on to planning the next SIG outing ....
